Episode 18: God Blessing All The Single Mamas

This past week Vivian Kaye from KinkyCurlyYaki was sweet enough to send me a book (The Kick Ass Single Mom) I commented on from her Instastory and it made me think about how often single moms are seemingly "forgotten".

This episode is dedicated to the single mamas, mamas, and mamas mamas.

Episode 13: Dating Ramblings w/ Destinee

This was a cluster LOL. This week I had my lovely sister, a dating aficionado, on to talk about dating and my lack thereof. We also had a special guest to pop in as well.... Hold on tight because this is a long one.

Episode 12: Buying a House is Accessible

Buying a home is more attainable than you may think. The goal of this episode is to shed some light on a way to pave a path to wealth via real estate. Here I share my home buying experiences and let you know the steps you can take to purchase your own home:

1. Know where you stand when it comes to your credit
2. Research home buyer programs
3. Get organized and prepare ahead of time
4. Look for a home AFTER you get preapproved

Buying a home is not only more accessible than you think, but it's a path to wealth. So get out there and make fiscally responsible decisions and get yourself out of paying other people's mortgages.

Episode 09: Protect Your Energy

Most that know me know...

that I constantly talk about energy. From the vibes you get from other people to your methods of entertainment, we're all being fed daily manifestations. As a result, you should be mindful of what you surround yourself with. Especially for those that are goal oriented. When you have a vision for what you want your life to look like, you must stay focused because distractions are rampant and the devil is busy. Ofttimes, the things you surround yourself with manifests itself into your life. Being mindful and protective of your energy source is key.

Here are 3 ways you can protect the energy around you:
1. Social Media/Television Cleanse
2. "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with" - Jim Rohn
3. Get an accountability crew

Once you change your input, your output will change as well. For better or for worse. Be mindful and intentional with your life.

Episode 07: "I Haven't Had Sex in 3 Years" w/ Adam

Abstinence and celibacy have been in the spot light in recent years due to celebrity couples like DeVon Franklin & Meagan Good and Ciara & Russell Wilson's willingness to invite the public into their bedroom, so to speak, to talk about waiting until marriage to have sex.

At the risk of telling my business I decided to have a discussion about Celibacy and Abstinence. I invited my friend Adam to the show (another abstinence practitioner) to get a male's perspective on waiting. Questions asked:

1. Why have you chosen to abstain and how long has it been?
2. I was once told, by a man, I would never find anyone willing to wait. What's your thoughts on this?
3. When do you mention your abstinence while dating?
4. Do you think you could wait until marriage?
5. Do you think once you have sex you'll be a 2 pumps and done?

Enjoy!

Episode 06: Happy New Year!!

I am so so so happy it's 2017. 2016 was a challenge for many of us including myself and with the new year comes new hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Here I touch on my approach to tackling my goals (I make goals not resolutions):

1. WRITE THEM DOWN
Habakkuk 2:2 says "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets so he may run who reads it"
2. PUT YOUR GOALS IN PLAIN SIGHT
On you mirror, your computer monitor, anywhere and everywhere you will see them daily
3. DO THE WORK
James 2:26 says "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

www.passionplanner.com is where you can find the planner I mentioned; they're great.
'The Secret' is on Netflix if you care to watch it.

Episode 05: I Let My Son Have A Hot Pink Lunch Box

This topic came up a couple of times this week so I decided to chat about it here. A friend of mine asked me how I approach homosexuality with my son. Here are my thoughts:

1. I don't
2. I want my son to be welcoming and open to all people
3. We are living in a world that's ever changing. What is a big deal to us isn't going to be a big deal to our children.

Episode 03: When You Get Out Of Your Own Way, God Opens Doors

God opens doors when you walk in his guidance. Don't be afraid to pursue your dreams because those dreams are what He has put on your heart.

1. Be honest about what you really want
2. Once you choose to live your life fully the way God intended, blessings flow
3. Faith. Keep It.
3. If you're forcing something to happen, that's a sign it's not for you.
